Kool Aid will stain the outermost layer of your hair. You can try getting it out by washing with dandruff shampoo containing zinc pyrithione, or washing with Dawn dish washing liquid. Good luck!

Q: Okay yesterday my friends and I decided it would be fun to dye our hair with kool aid. We added unsweetened kool aid to some conditioner, brushed it on the paste, and then wrapped it up in tin foil. (We only did few highlights) We left it in for about 2 hours. We rinsed it out, and went to bed. The next morning I took a shower and it didn’t come out! I washed it out like 4-5 more times, and then called the salon. I went in for a Malibu treatment (mostly made for swimmers to get the clorine out of their hair) and it mostly came out. it still has like 2-3 strips of really faded blue in my hair, but it’s still a bit noticeable. My hair is light brown with carmel/blonde highlights (and now some blue highlights too =[ ) What can I do to make it come out all the way? I need it out for school!! I don’t care that it’s in the summer, cuz I usually don’t see anyone but my friends (who also dyed thier hair) in the summer. My princble will be mad, and we have school pictures in 3 weeks! A: try tide washing powders! it strips out a bad color job! but, you need to be sure to condition your hair after! use a good conditioner and leave on your hair while it’s wrapped in a plastic cap (u can use a plastic grocery bag instead) then leave on for at least 15 min…your hair must be very blonde and (porous) dry for the kool aide to have stayed in!
