Q:I have always used iodized salt yet recently found out im severely deficient iodine which led to thyroid problems,what could have caused this malabsorbtion?

Found this sentence at the web site below: If you have an under-active thyroid, try and avoid large amounts of raw cabbage, peaches, pears, spinach and Brussels sprouts as they may block the absorption of iodine.Thought that was interesting. I would suggest going to a naturopath so they could determine if the iron deficiency imbalanced the thyroid, or the other way around.
