Are you urinating a lot as well?It might be a thyroid thing instead. Go to the doctor and have them screen you for both thyroid problems and diabetes. It really sounds more like a problem with your thyroid to me – especially the late periods.
I have been a diabetic for 14 years on 2 shots of insulin a day. Yes, all that you mentioned I have experienced. PLEASE go to a good doctor that is Internal Medicine & get your fasting blood work done. It’s nothing to put off.
the first part about being shaky and spacing out sort of sounds like diabetes, but the rest can be caused by something else. i would talk to your family doctor about getting tested for diabetes if you are that worried about it. usually they will draw some blood and check for diabetes and thyroid disease at the same time. if you are overweight for your height then you most definetly need to go to see the doctor.
maybe hypoglycemia-low blood sugar…i had it after my c section, and had gestational diabeteses You have some of the symptoms of diabetes. Others can include rapid weight loss, sickness, headaches. The best way to tell is to check your blood sugar level after you wake up first thing in the morning BEFORE you eat or drink anything. You can buy blood glucose level checkers at Eckerd Drug stores over the counter that are one time use. You should really go see your Dr. I would suggest an early morning visit, again with no eating or drinking prior to the visit. A normal blood sugar level should be between 80 and 120 after you wake up in the morning. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.
It took me 5 years to find out that I had a thyroid problem. And it took 16 doctors. I’m honestly not exaggerating. Like everyone has said, go get bloodwork done. If you’re overweight it could be hypothyrodism and you may have to go on Synthroid. This is the best thing that ever happened to me. I got my life back… Good luck.
It very well could be but it could be thyroid too, consult a Doctor for tests. Better safe then sorry!
