Why don’t they use Silver Sulfadiazine for general Herpes? It works better than any ointment for Herpes?
Q:Warning, do not use Silver Silver Sulfadiazine on your lips or genital area, but its O.K. to use anywhere else on your skinI have had Herpes for all my life since I was born. I’m unusual in that I get Herpes Simplex on more than just my lips. I get them on specific places of the right side of my face. and on the right side of my neck. I was prescribed an ointment all my life. But in 1998, when I was 19 years of age, I was prescribed Silver Sulfadiazine which is generally prescribed for patients with severe burns. He was a new doctor at the time and the ointment lasted until Yesterday. I got some more with my current doctor. But it works better than any prescription that I was ever prescribed for Herpes. Silver Sulfadiazine works better that any other Herpes topical ointment.
