More Answers to “What is a home remedy for constipation?“If it is a constant problem, then adding fiber to your diet is a must. You can do this by eating more foods rich in fiber (check the nutrition information), or using a supplement (although I know that you are looking for a homeopathic remedy). Fiber One is a good supplement that has no smell or taste and mixes into any food or drink. Foods rich in fiber are beans, broccoli, spinach, apples, raisins. there are tons. Good luck!
My grandmother would take castor oil and chilled orange juice and mix them both vigorously together. Then you would have to drink the concoction very quickly…but it always worked!

Here are some home remedies for constipation* Mix lemon juice with warm water. Take it two to three times a day. It helps to relieve constipation. * Exercise also helps to get rid of constipation. Aerobic exercise such as walking, running and swimming is best. * Take a glass of warm water to which the juice of 1/2 a lime and 1 tsp honey has been added. Drink daily in the morning. * Haldi (turmeric powder) boiled in milk along with figs also helps in relieving constipation.* Eat fresh cherries throughout the day or drink three 8 oz glasses of cherry juice during the day. This will help to get rid of constipation.
There are many things you can try, and see which one works best for you. But you should make sure you are eating a healthy diet, taking a natural multiple vitamin, and drinking plenty of water. You should be drinking 8 to 10, 8oz glasses a day of good juice or water, do not count anything with caffeine. Caffeine is a diuretic. Make sure you also are getting enough exercise, this is what keeps your stomach moving, the peristalsis. Then products with natural senna are good for constipation, either in pill form, or they make senna teas too. -Eat a raw apple about an hour after a meal. Apples are very cleansing, and will encourage bowel movements.-Eat ripe yellow bananas between meals, not with the meals.
eat fruit first thing in the morning…apples, grapes, oranges- bananas tend to be a binder- so I’d stay clear of them. But if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach it should race right on through your system. My mother is standing behind me, and she wants me to add: Go visit your local Chinese restaurant. lol

Well, there is always castor oil, yuk! but it does work. One of the best, all natural laxatives is prunes (ever tried a 50/50 mix of prune juice and ginger ale? tastes much better and is very effective) but any high water fruit juice will also work (apple juice has always been the answer for my two daughters) also, water, pure and simple along with proper exercise (body movement assists in the moving of food through your digestive system) are two ways to address this problem. As a father of children who seem to experience this more than they should, I sympathize with you and hope this helps.
