any cures for head aches?
Q:other than pain killers they havent worked
More Answers to “any cures for head aches?“It depends. If its just because of long siting hours in front of Pc or TV, then have one aspirin. Before aspirin fill your stomach with something. You can allways take paracitamol, if not controlled. But still its some kind of specific pain then just show to doctor.
Well, it depends on the type of headache and what’s causing it in the first place. Sometimes it’s from too much sleep, sometimes not enough. Caffeine addiction can cause problems. Food allergies or intolerance. Stress. Etc.But, once you have a headache, somethings I have found that work are… drink a cup of green tea. Get some minor exercise- like take a short walk. Rub a little BenGay or Icy Hot on the back of your neck, where your head and neck meet. Try applying an ice pack to the area where the headache is. Get a massage. These are just a couple of ideas.
have you considered the time that you take the pain killers? as soon as you feel a headache take something ibuprophen for instance. If that doesn’t work then you should find a migraine stick or something like that maybe at a body store?
hey ! i wonder if you suffer from some gastric prb too? as that causes headaches more often, if you are constipated and having frequent gas? Well try this ayurvedic medicine, take Amla Churan –1/2 tsp daily or Brahmi Churan daily. DiagnosisWhile statistically headaches are most likely to be harmless and self-limiting, some specific headache syndromes may demand specific treatment or may be warning signals of more serious disorders. Some headache subtypes are characterized by a specific pattern of symptoms, and no further testing may be necessary, while others may prompt further diagnostic tests.Headache associated with specific symptoms may warrant urgent medical attention, particularly sudden, severe headache or sudden headache associated with a stiff neck; headaches associated with fever, convulsions, or accompanied by confusion or loss of consciousness; headaches following a blow to the head, or associated with pain in the eye or ear; persistent headache in a person with no previous history of headaches; and recurring headache in children.Computed tomography (CT/CAT) scans of the brain or sinuses are commonly performed, or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in specific settings. Blood tests may help narrow down the differential diagnosis, but are rarely confirmatory of specific headache forms.TreatmentNot all headaches require medical attention, and respond with simple analgesia (painkillers) such as paracetamol/acetaminophen or members of the NSAID class (such as aspirin/acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen). In recurrent unexplained headaches, healthcare professionals may recommend keeping a “headache diary” with entries on type of headache, associated symptoms, precipitating and aggravating factors. This may reveal specific patterns, such as an association with medication, menstruation and absenteeism. Some forms of headache may be amenable to preventative treatment, such as migraine. On the whole, long-term use of painkillers is discouraged as this may lead to “rebound headaches” on withdrawal. Caffeine, a vasoconstrictor, is sometimes prescribed or recommended, as a remedy or supplement to pain killers in the case of extreme migraine. This has led to the development of Tylenol Ultra, a paracetamol/caffeine analgesic.
Look, I’m not kidding here. Sex can relieve a headache. There is this chemical in the back of your head ( I forgot okay) that is automatically released at the height of pleasure.
Massaging both temples at the same time can reduce the pain. It works on some, and not on others. Good luck.
Sex is the best cure for a headache, but if you’re not in a position where you can have sex right now (excuse the pun) I would recommend some hot herbal tea
Lay down in a dark room and suck on an Altoid’s Peppermint.
Head Ache is not a decease, this is the replication of changes in your mind.Keep your mind clean, remove all the bad thoughts, revenge, jealousy from mind, you will never have head ache. Think you do not have head ache.
meditation and sleep.
soak your head for 10 minutes
get a soft cloth/ tissue soaked in ice – put it onthe forehead( apply a balm on the forehead before putting the tissue/ cloth!!)
scalp massage. it alleviates the pressure in the blood vessels in your head which is what causes the head ache in the first place. you can do it yourself but it’s usually better to have someone else do it. they’re hands can take better angles than yours can.
i get migraines quite often….and this works about 99% of the time…does it hurt on a certain side (right or left)?? if it does, then choose the opposite side hand. I.E: usually its the left side of my head that hurts…and so i use my right hand. i squeeze a certain point between my index finger and my thumb. the part where i squeeze has to hurt!! and bad!! and just keep squeezing ’til u feel ur headache fading away!hope this helps!! its a life savor for me! : D
prophylactic treatment is the best than rampant use of painkillers
my immediate remedy is either hot jasmine tea or panadol tablets with coke.. it really work for me

Headache There are many types of headaches and many causes to headaches. Now I’m a headache sufferer myself so I’ve tried a lot of these remedies. Hopefully these tips will help you as well. I will segment the headache section into groups, so here are all the cures for the different types. Tension Headaches, now the simplest way and usually the most effective is just to take an aspirin, however, there are natural treatments that may help you. Placing a warm pad on the back of your head or you can try taking a warm shower or bath. Also if you can reduce your stress you’ll suffer less from the pain of a tension headache. Migraine Headaches, I would suggest that a doctor’s visit is in order if you have migraine headaches often, it can give you crippling pain and makes you feel just miserable. There are many causes of a migraine, try and reduce stress levels, and when you feel it coming on lie down in a quiet dark room. Now I find this to be very helpful if you feel a headache of any type coming on, but it really does help to relieve the pain of a migraine. You can also apply a cold compress to your head and a warm one to your neck. Breathe nice and slowly and just relax. Caffeine can also help, caffeine constricts the blood vessels which widen during a migraine headache. Now, I’m not a big fan of this treatment because you can become addicted to caffeine, and if you don’t have a caffeine you can get a headache, so just use it when you have a headache. Sinus Headache, this occurs when there is an infection in the sinuses. This one you should go to the doctor. Some helpful hints on getting rid of a headache Dip a handkerchief in white vinegar and wrap it around your head. Now, I use this one myself, but sometimes I just eliminate the white vinegar and just use the handkerchief tied around my head. Try acupressure, try rubbing the space between your index finger and your thumb, this can work sometimes. Taking your aspirin with coffee can really make the aspirin more effective…it makes it work faster and better, but remember about the danger of caffeine addiction. Run your hands under hot water, this can also be an effective way to stop a headache. enlightenment
