Ale Asylum

Ale Asylum’s brewery and tap house is located in an anonymus light-industrial strip mall at the corner of Stoughton Road and Kinsman Blvd. on Madison’s east side. A popular location for those who know about quality craft brew, all ales are expertly produced to style and are served bright and fresh.

The taproom is a dark and comfy place with free pool and darts. Try some of their deli sandwich and pizza selections. Sit outside on the patio for a little fresh air and daylight or enjoy the comfy couches in the lounge.

Brewmaster Dean Coffey has invested much time and energy in introducing green techniques in his brewing processes, including capturing and reusing excess heat.

Ale Asylum has been growing by leaps and bounds; they are developing more flavors and increasing sales volume. With their brewing and bottling operations at capacity, they have been expanding with larger fermenters and silos on site. Brewing as many as 15 ales of various style, they have come along way since their humble beginnings of only 5 beers on tap.

Parking can be sparse out front but don’t let that deter you. One hint to avoid a long hike is to park around back, entering the taproom from the patio.
