Autumn’s Artist

Intermingled hues, red, yellow, gold

Splatter a brilliant blue backdrop

Earthen confetti quietly drifting

To lie in repose on a blanket of green

An ever shifting carnival of color

Fall’s finery lingers not

Splendor quickly fading

As winter’s chill approaches

Autumn’s paradox

Beauty from death

and a promised resurrection

Evidence of the unseen Artist
