One of the best video games of last year was Batman: Arkham City. Now you can take the excitement of that game anywhere you go with Batman: Arkham City: Lockdown. If you have an iPhone or an iPad, you are ready to roam the streets of Arkham City and take down The Joker, Deathstroke, Two-Face and other iconic villains. Just like Arkham City, you can upgrade your health, gadgets and armor as you gain points throughout the game. You even have the choice of which Batman costume you prefer to defend Arkham City.
For each boss you have to take down, there are three checkpoints you have to complete first before meeting your nemesis. Each checkpoint has about three to four henchmen you have to defeat. Some you fight in hand-to-hand combat, while other guys might have a lead pipe to try and take you down. Some of the henchmen and bosses will have a “rage” period where it is hard to defend their attacks on you. This is where your utility belt comes in handy to stop their “rage.” You have to time your attacks just right to take down each guy.
Just like Arkham City, Lockdown has bonus features to enhance your game play. There is a practice tutorial to train you on how to fully become the Batman. The game is easy to learn and is very addicting. Even after you beat the game, Lockdown still lets you play again with all of your points to try the game at a harder level and increase all the toys that you can stuff into your utility belt.
