Chronicles of Merlin Game Review

Chronicles of Merlin is a hybrid strategy and RPG based game much like other games like Batheo. It is a game where you will have to build and sustain your army first before you are fit to go into battle. The premise of the game is simple as you’re a hero here to help Merlin as you battle your way to victory against some of history’s most iconic heroes. One of the first heroes you will have to defeat is none other than Robin Hood.

The storyline of the game is fairly unique to say the least. Normally it’s a battle between Good & Evil but in this game, you are here to prove once and for all who the greatest fighting warrior in history really is. Before you go out on your quest to be the best, you must first choose the hero you will become. There are six classes that you choose to be but overall, your decision does not affect the way that that battles are played. Much like in Batheo, all battles in Chronicles of Merlin are simulated.

The game’s tutorial is helpful and will give novice players are chance to know what exactly they are doing. As aforementioned, battling in this game is important but sustaining your city is before you go into battle is the real key to victory. Your enemies grow stronger after each battle and it’s crucial that you train your soldiers so they are strong enough to defeat them.

As in every RPG game, the more you fight the more money can you speed upgrading your character’s armor and weapons. It’s a good thing to try and do this as frequently as possible as the odds will be stacked against you the more you venture out and fight. Not to mention after you defeat a certain number of enemies, there’s a boss battle waiting for you at the very end of each chapter.

The great thing about Chronicles of Merlin is the interactivity you have with the community. There’s a region where you can message other players and even a chat system in place as well. This is a really helpful tool as beginners have a chance to ask questions to veteran players on how to effectively make the most out of Chronicles of Merlin.

Although the game has no sound effects, there is a lovely Medieval-themed music soundtrack playing in the background. If you love Howard Shore’s music in the Lord of the Rings’ films, there’s a good chance you will love listening to the music in this game too. Other browser based video games get a little boring to play as you’re mostly playing in utter silence.

There are 10 chapters in the game in all offering gamers a lot of quests to complete. At the end of each chapter is a boss you have to face. Leveling up to defeat all the enemies can be time consuming so expect to spend a good amount of hours each day getting the most out of this game.

Chronicles of Merlin may not be the best RPG game ever made but it’s certainly to the worst one. Its soundtrack is lovely to listen to and the gameplay is addictive. One RPG fans should look out for.

Play and have fun with top rated free MMORPG games and other browser based games one.
