It seems like the second season of USA Networks hit show Covert Affairs just started, but here we are at the mid-season finale. The summer finale didn’t disappoint either. Annie was given the lead on a mission, which involved the defect of a Chinese scientist. Jay was unhappy that Annie was given point on the mission, and is not happy with management. Joan told Jay she was transferring him because he was not happy in D.C., but Jay doesn’t want to go. At the end of the episode Jay makes a mysterious phone call, who was on the other line? We will have to wait to find out.
Annie was also struggling on how to tell her sister Danielle that she was a spy. While on the mission to bring in the scientist who was defecting, they came across radiation. Annie had to call her sister to tell her not to go home, since their house had to be swept for radiation. Annie knew that now she would have to tell her sister everything. As it turns out the scientist was poison with the radiation and Annie was fine.
The episode featured some really great scenes between Annie and Danielle. When Annie got home she told Danielle that she was a spy. Danielle was in shocked and asked Annie to prove it, so Annie showed her the safe she has with her spy stuff. Danielle was mad at Annie for lying to her for the past two years. She also kicked Annie out of the house because she didn’t feel like her kids were safe with Annie there. Now that Danielle knows that Annie is a CIA Agent she still can’t know everything about what Annie dose. So how will Danielle and Annie’s relationship change? It will be interesting to see what’s next, and how it will change the show.
Covert Affairs will be back this Fall with new episodes.
