Crochet Popcorn Stitch Ear Warmer

Crochet a popcorn stitch ear warmer in less than one hour. This adorable and warm craft uses approximately two ounces of 4-ply yarn. This is a great project to use up leftover yarn to make a useful item.

A single crochet and a popcorn stitch is used to make the ear warmer. A popcorn stitch is made by starting the stitch like a single crochet. Wrap the loop around the crochet hook but do not pull through the loops on the hook’s shaft. Insert the end of the hook back through the stitch. Loop the yarn and pull through the stitch like the beginning of a single crochet. Five loops will appear on the shaft. Loop the yarn around the end of the crochet hook. Pull the loop through the first two loops on the shaft of the crochet hook. Repeat twice until one loop remains.
