Culturelle Probiotic for Digestive Health

Antibiotics can be a life saver in many instances, but when they are over used they can also create their own set of problems. I have been suffering from ear and sinus infections over the past two years, and my ENT always puts me on antibiotics.

I noticed I was feeling sluggish, my digestion was not regular, and I suffered from bad gas, which can be very embarrassing. A friend of mine, who happens to be a nurse, told me to start eating yogurt that contained active cultures, which would help restore the good bacteria in my intestines. It seems that the antibiotics were indeed killing the bacteria that was causing my infections, but they were also destroying the good bacteria!

Since I don’t eat yogurt every day, I happened upon another product that could help called Culturelle Probiotic. The package contains 30 white vegetable capsules that can be taken only once a day. The product claims to “boost the immune system, improve digestive health, and restores the natural balance of good bacteria in your digestive tract”.

If you are allergic to dairy or gluten, Culturelle Probiotic might be a good choice since they are dairy and gluten free! Each capsule contains 10 billiion cells of lactobacillus GG and 245 milligrams of inulin (chicory root extract), which is a natural fiber often found in products such as Metamucil Clear & Natural, which are for irregularity.

Culturelle Probiotic retails for around $27.00, but can be found for less than half that price if you shop around and purchase your supplements online. Culturelle Probiotic capsules are packaged in a double layer of foil to assure quality and integrity of the product. According to the Culture website, taking this product is a better choice than eating yogurt that contains live cultures. It claims “Just one capsule of Culturelle contains over 100 times more good bacteria than regular yogurt. In fact, to get the probiotic power of one Culturelle you’d have to eat over 100 servings of regular yogurt. That’s a load of calories and a pile of sugar. Plus, our probiotic strain, Lactobacillus GG, has been shown in clinical studies to survive and thrive in the harsh environment of the digestive tract to help you achieve digestive balance”.

I am so pleased to have found a dairy free product that is restoring the good bacteria in my digestive tract, and has made me regular and relieved me of the gas problems. Culturelle Probiotic is well worth the cost, and I am thrilled to have found it!
