It’s Baaacck! The spectacular celebrity cast for the new season of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ will be announced live on ABC, Monday, Aug. 29, during that evening’s episode of ‘Bachelor Pad.’
‘Dancing with the Stars’ is the hit series in which celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which are judged by renowned ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke are hosting the live unveiling of the all-star cast. But there are those pesky rumors…so let’s break down ‘DTWS’ Season 13.
‘Dancing with the Stars’ returns on Monday Sept. 19 (8-10 p.m., ET) with an arresting two-hour season premiere. First on Tuesday, Sept. 20, there will be ‘Dancing with the Stars: Meet the Cast’ (8-9 p.m., ET), after which is the premiere of ‘Dancing with the Stars: The Results Show’ (9 – 10 p.m., ET).
The Possible Contestants:
‘Jersey Shore’ star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi – Really? She’s short and orange. And all she’s famous for is drinking and causing a raucous. Perhaps if there are points for throwing one back and drooling.
Rob Kardashian – Well his big sister did it. Wonder if he’s got a great butt too? He does have a few tats to boast of, one of which is his father. He dances at clubs enough; maybe he’ll be pretty good.
Christina Milian – She is a recording artist, actress, dancer and model. Which means she has a distinct advantage. If you have the talent enough to keep the beat while belting out a tune, you probably can rock out a dance.
‘Bachelorette’ Ashley Hebert – ‘Bachelor’ Jake did it. That’s about all the chance Ashley has…not much. But maybe she’ll surprise us all.
Mike Tyson – The boxer will come out with fists flying. He’s made a quasi return to showbiz with movies like the Hangover, so we know he has the chops for humor. But boxing requires split second coordination. He may just be a champ on the dance floor too.
‘The Hills’ veteran Kristin Cavallari – Gotta get a reality star in there that isn’t a Kardashian. And ‘The Hills’ are a solid choice, seeing as how successful that franchise proved to be.
Singer and actress Queen Latifah – Loving the Queen! She is a triple threat. If she strolls onto ‘DWTS’ I don’t doubt she might win it.
Los Angeles Laker Ron Artest – Athletes are sort of hit and miss on ‘DWTS.’ Some go all the way, and some crash and burn. We’ll have to see whether this season’s athletes win.
Tiffani Thiessen – The former ‘90210’ star is used to being a sex symbol. She’ll wear those itty bitty dancing costumes with flair and style. But can she dance?
After a small break, Derek Hough is likely to return to the show to try and regain the mirror ball trophy, which he won with Nicole Scherzinger in Season 10 and Jennifer Grey in Season 11. Also expected to dance are pros Chelsie Hightower and Kym Johnson.
