Herman Cain – What is the Matter with This Guy?

Commentary:
The blunders Cain makes, sound like he missed school at one time or another? Mixing up randomly, Libya with Afghanistan and Iraq, clearly show, he does not know what is going on in the world. Couple his lack of geographic knowledge with certain (multiple) allegation of behavior violations,( albeit not proven), and one tends to think. “where there’s smoke, there’s fire”. Or, if it looks like something is wrong, something is probably wrong. In any event, although Herman Cain is vying for the nomination of the 2012 U.S. Republican Party, he is anything but “presidential”.

When is the public waking up? Last week, we learned, candidate Gingrich took millions in consulting fees from perennial billion of (taxpayer subsidized) money losing entity “Fannie Mae”, and Gingrich later saying “he saw nothing wrong with that”. We know of candidate Bachman stating “she will bring back the $2/gallon gas prices”, when economic reality tells us – this is plain nuts. We know of candidate Perry mixing politics with religion when leading prayer events, in contrast to the “separation of church and state” and the First Amendment, that says “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”. We also know, how Mormonism molded Mitt Romney, and in the world we live in, one item is certain, the US as a whole is not ready for that.

Finally we arrive at Ron Paul, last winning another straw poll, this time in Illinois. This was Ron Paul’s third straw poll win, in addition to a tie in a fourth straw poll. Why does he not get any attention from the media? It seems Ron Paul does not create controversy, he is not flashy, rather maintains a low profile, he seemingly “thinks before opening his mouth” and “he is an educated person”.

And – since Ron Paul has been around, the media is aware Paul knows the in-and-outs in Washington and basically think “there is no story here”. That in itself is the displayed ignorance by the media, that should be focusing on – “what you know, how you present yourself, ability to lead”.
Those are the categories, main issues when judging presidential material. However, the media would rather cover “an idiot” with the thought process- that this was news. It is not.
