How to Add a Facebook Banner to Your Home Page

Although you can create Facebook banners yourself, by uploading a series of 5 images in a certain order, it’s much easier to use a third party website. This is because several factors including: the order of the pictures, the format of the pictures and the size of the pictures, are already arranged by the third party website.

Step 1
Log onto a Facebook banner website such as, or

Browse the banners by category. The categories are usually arranged in a column, and can be found on the left or right-hand side of the page. Click the name of a category (such as “Abstract” or “Colorful”) to open a new page full of banners that fit with that theme. Browse the categories until you find the banner you want.

Step 3
Click the banner you want to download. You will be redirected to another page with an “Upload to Facebook” button. Click this button to add your banner to Facebook. If you’re not logged in to Facebook, do so when prompted (immediately after clicking the button).

Step 4
Grant permissions to the application by clicking the “Allow” button in the pop-up dialog box on your Facebook page.

Step 5
Wait momentarily while your banner is uploaded to your Facebook page. Click the “Done” button when you have been notified that your banner has been successfully uploaded. Log into your Facebook page to view your new banner.

Tip: To remove your Facebook banner, simply log into your “Photos” section on your home page, and then delete the images that make up your banner. They should be found in an album named after the website from which you obtained them.
