Located southwest of Easton and on Highway 33, which runs to Tilgman Island, is small town with a big heart and wonderful people. The Chesapeake offers a variety of fishing from the banks and shoals to deep water. There are water tours of the historic shores of the Chesapeake.
For land lovers, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is located right in St. Michaels. Local old graveyards and churches, some of which pre-date the Revolutionary War, such as Christ Church on Talbot Street, add to the interest of the town.

The most well-known of the St Michaels eateries may be the Crab Claw, with a menu range from tables full of fresh local steamed Blue Channel Crab to chef inspired steak and seafood entrees. The Crab Claw has hosted many celebrities and dignitaries whose photos decorate the walls.
