Review: Conair Moisturizing Mist Facial Sauna System

It seems like every autumn when the cold dry air starts to creep in I get sick with a respiratory infection. Well, this year, I did get the respiratory infections, but I also got a Conair Moisturizing Mist Facial Sauna System that I use simply to help cleanse and open up my respiratory system naturally so I can breathe easier and fight my infections off faster. However, since I have been using this system for opening up my airways, I have noticed my face becoming cleaner, softer and smoother with smaller pores so I must say it is an excellent facial system.

The Conair Moisturizing Mist Facial Sauna System came in this small five-pound box that way very easy to open. Inside the box was the system, which was very basic. The sauna system come with the facial sauna base which has an auto shutoff timer, little water dispenser holder that is in the center of the system and is basically a little metal cup, and two sauna facial bowls that attach. One of the blue sauna facial bowls that attaches directs the steam all over the face such as the forehead, chin, cheeks and nose, and the second sauna facial bowl is more to direct steam into the respiratory airways as your breathing. The system also comes with very nice electronic exfoliating brush and moisturizing brush head. Both brushes I have used and loved because they cleanse and moisturize my face really well.

The way I have been using the sauna system is by placing it onto my kitchen table close to a chair so I can easily bend my head over it. Then I fill the little metal bowl in the center of the system up with 5 tablespoons of peppermint tea. Now, on the box it says not to use anything, but plain water in this system. However, I find the peppermint tea to be harmless and helpful because it really helps open up my respiratory tract as the sauna turns the tea into hot steam. Anyways, once the system is filled with water I attach the large sauna bowl on top of it and lock it into place, which is so easy. Then I simple press the on button, allow the water to heat up, and turn to steam. As the water is heating up and turning to steam, the little red light on the machine will blink. When the machine is ready to use it will beep letting you know it is time to set the timer on it. Next, I turn the timer dial to the number of minutes I want to use the sauna system for and press the timer button on. Then all I do is place my face gently over the steam and breathe it in to help open up my airways and relieve the sinus pressure that is in my head. It usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes before I find relief. The steam is hot, but not so hot that it burns me. It is a gentle warm steam. It is very nice. Then when I have spent the proper amount of time using the system the timer goes of with a little beep and the whole system shuts off so I do not need to worry about accidentally leaving it on. It really is the perfect little steaming machine for relieving sinus discomfort and for giving a great facial.

Now, onto the facial brushes. The electronic exfoliating brush is battery operated and has a nice easy to use handle with buttons to turn the brush on and off. The way I have used the exfoliating brush is by squeezing a little facial cleanser onto it, dampening my face down with water and simply cleansing my face well with the brush that spins around in circles on high and low speeds for about one minute. The brush actually is soft and gentle and lathers up my facial cleanser well for a deep clean. It so nice. Once my face is clean and all lathered up I rinse it down with warm water and pat it dry. After, I take the moisturizing brush and add a little moisturizer to it, turn it on and swirl it all over my face until my skin feels hydrated and soft. This brush is very soft and smooth and feels like I am getting a facial massage every time I use it.

Overall, I am very pleased with the Moisturizing Facial Sauna System. It was affordable and does more than what it is suppose too. I would recommend this system to anyone to use. I do hope those of you who try this system out as I have been; enjoy the way it works too.
