Glazed Pork Chops With Apples

4 pork chops (1/2 inch thick) cut off fat.
1 Large oven bag
1 envelope onion soup mix
1/4 c. honey
1 apples (core and cut into 8 pieces)
1 Tbsp. flour
1/3 c. apple juice

Add flour to oven bag and shake, put in jelly roll pan, make sure the bag does not touch the sides of the pan. Mix together onion soup mix, honey and apple juice. Pour into bag and mix well with the flour. Turn bag over to distribute the ingredients.

Place pork chops in a single layer in the bag, then put the apple slices around the pork chops.

Close the bag and cut six slots in the top of the bag. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes until tender.

When ready to serve put pork chops in a serving dish and spoon the sauce over the chops and apples.

For a large group of people double the recipe. Enjoy

Sauteed Broccoli

1 1/2 pounds broccoli (fresh)
1 tsp. sesame oil (optional)
2 Tbsp. butter
salt and pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Wash broccoli and cut apart and separate flowerettes.

Melt butter in frying pan. Add broccoli and saute for approximately 5 minutes, stirring a few times. Add sesame oil and lemon juice.

For large group double or triple ingredients. Enjoy

Cornmeal Bread

2 c. biscuit mix
1 cup half and half
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. cornmeal
2 eggs (beaten slightly)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Scald the half and half with the butter. Mix all dry ingredients together. Then add dry ingredients to half and half /butter mixture. Now add eggs and mix well. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Pour batter into cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand for approximately 5 to 10 minutes before cutting. Enjoy
