Top 10 Songs by Eric Church

Country singer Eric Church has released three albums since 2006. The first was Sinners Like Me. Then came Carolina. And his latest is Chief. Overall, I think his latest album is his best album but a few of his older songs still make my list of his best ten songs.

Top Ten Eric Church Songs

10. Lotta Boot Left to Fill (Carolina)
9. Like Jesus Does (Chief)
8. Guys Like Me (Sinners)
7. Springsteen (Chief)
6. Jack Daniels (Chief)
5. Creepin’ (Chief)
4. Love Your Love the Most (Carolina)
3. Drink in my Hand (Chief)
2. Homeboy (Chief)
1. Smoke a Little Smoke (Carolina)

Homeboy

The songs on the top 10 list were included based mainly just on their musical aspect, not so much on the meaning and things like that. Thus, I included the song Homeboy which, to some, borders on being a racist song and is a little cliched to say the least. But I like the whole “come on home, boy — homeboy” thing he does. The idea behind that actually came from Eric Church’s co-writer Casey Beathard.

Eric Church on the song Homeboy: “I love songs that challenge me as a writer and also challenge the listener. This song is a journey both musically and lyrically about a man and his search for his wayfaring brother.”
