Last spring I was in the market for a new laptop computer, mostly for home use and mobile video gaming. After I tested a couple of different brands of laptops, I chose the Toshiba Satellite A665-S6058. It turned out to be a very nice laptop that did everything I wanted it to do and then some.
What I like about it:
This laptop comes with Harman Kardon speakers, and it delivers outstanding audio output, small but powerful speakers, great for media and games. The keyboard has a really nice feel to it and the whole unit is constructed very well. It has a solid feel that I did not get from other brands. The Toshiba Satellite A665-S6058 also has very good graphics when playing games or working with media. I love to use it as my video editing machine and digital photo down loader. I often hook the Toshiba laptop to my 52 inch big screen television through the HDMI port and it has no problem driving graphics on the big screen.
What I don’t like about it:
The Toshiba Satellite A665-S6058 has16-inch display that has a 1,366×768-pixel resolution, which is good, however, I would like a higher resolution display of 1,600×900 pixels. When I ordered my laptop I could not get a Blu-ray capable DVD player installed, so I had to purchase a USB plug in model that works well but I still have to carry it in my case and lug it along if I want it. The only other thing I really don’t like is the short battery life. I did not purchase the high capacity battery so when you push the performance of the this machine your run time drops off fast.
In conclusion:
I personally have not had a bit of trouble with this machine, no lock ups and no crashes. The Toshiba Satellite A665-S6058 has done everything I wanted it to do quickly and dependably. It is capable and sounds great, good all around laptop. Yes, I would buy another one.
