Urbandale J-Hawks Homecoming

Arguably, the biggest game of the year…Homecoming this year for the J-Hawks features the Mason City Mohawks. This is a pivotal game for the Urbandale J-Hawks and their post-season hopes. Urbandale needs to improve on special teams, and they need to improve on moving the ball down the field. If Urbandale wants to win this game they have to play to their potential. With quarterback Ben Hurley and many other letter winners they have the talent to make the playoffs, but they need to play the game on the field not on paper. All this being said, I see Urbandale being able to run away with this game. Fresh off a stinging loss to Ankeny the J-Hawks are ready for vengeance and are ready to show the CIML conference that the playoff race goes through Urbandale. The J-Hawks have played either really well this season, or have played enduring many mishaps. Inconsistency is something they really need to work on if they want to give Urbandale students a show before the big homecoming dance. Consistency comes with time, but with time running out my analysis is that Urbandale needs to work on the passing game. We do not want to only get little skimpy five yard plays when 15 or 20 yard plays could be achieved with better decisions and timing. Urbandale has plenty of time to work the kinks out with away games at Southeast Polk and Sioux City North before they return home October 16 to Frerichs field in what I am predicting will be an Urbandale landslide victory as they move closer to the playoffs and winning the title they have worked and practiced for all season. My final score prediction for the game is Urbandale 35 Mason City 10.
