Amid the crashing storms of life
and tempests of the sea,
we have our refuge in Thee, Christ,
whate’er our lot may be.
Under the shadow of Thy wings
still may we hope anew.
Thou will support us with Thy strength
with every grace endue.
We dare not trust in human flesh
for it shall fail at length.
O, Thou Eternal Providence
lead us from strength to strength.
In this sign shall we conquer
with hymns of victory,
our blessed, risen Savior,
our Lord who sets us free.
