A: Well if you eat right… the only thing that can help is working out.. And not just push up and sit ups.. you need to be doing cardio to burn off the extra fat.. try going for a jog or something that gets you really moving, something that you’ll actually enjoy doing.. Theres nothing worse than having to do a work out that you hate..Besides that, theres really nothing else thats going to help.
I’m Trying to Lose Weight for Scuba Diving and I Need Advice on a Certain Food?
Q: I ordered a small, hand-tossed pizza from dominos. I only had pepperoni and green peppers put on it, NO CHEESE (think what they thought when they saw that order). I know that cutting out the cheese cuts out a lot of fat and calories, but I have to wonder how many calories would be in after the cheese was removed? Also, I’m having a hard time losing weight. I run a mile or two every day. It took me a few weeks, but I can now jog a mile continuously without stopping. I can see the muscle in my calves now and I’m losing celluite in my legs. (Note: I’m 17 and 5’7″, weighing in at 193, though people claim I don’t look above 160.) However, I didn’t weigh myself for over a month and continued to run and eat healthy. Yet when I finally decided to see if I lose any weight, I jumped on the scale thinking to see a great decline. The thing never even moved. Everyone says that I look like I’ve lost weight, but the scale differs. Shouldn’t I have lost weight by now? Advice would help
A: First of all taking off cheese does cut calories and fat, but when they prepare the pizza dough, they cover it in oil to keep it from drying out, so you get that fat, too. Also, pepperoni is high in fat. Aside from that, if you are eating healthy and are exercising, you are gaining muscle, so the scale looks like it hasn’t moved at all. Don’t look at the scale. Look at the way your clothes fit. They will tell you the truth. Here is a perfect example: In highschool I was 5′ 4″ at 123 pounds. Looked a little chubby. As an adult I had gained weight and started working out. I got down to only 127 pounds but was a lot smaller than I was in school. It was the muscle replacing the fat. Keep doing what you are doing and it will happen. Good luck!!
