I know if i don’t eat right before i get there, I’ll probably give up before it’s over. So what’s something I could eat beforehand to give me some energy so I won’t be dying during the workout?
A: Eat complex grains throughout the day and it isnt necessary to eat anything before nor during if it is only one hour. If you burn off more than your glycogen stores in an hour it would be…amazing. If you are truly worried and truly anticipate burning 600-800 calories in this hour(a pace which is quite demanding) you may elect to eat a banana or drink half a gatorade during the workout or immediately prior. Complex grains throughout the day will get you prepped.
horrible eating habits, what to change to?
Q: I am a horrible eater. Let me tell u the things i eat. For a snack(anything thats not one of the 3 meals for me) are ussually goldfish, doritos, cheeze its, pretzels, fruit by the foot, and things like that. I eat a LOT of unhealthy snacks during everyday. I can have a bag of doritos as 1 snack sometimes… Im also a VERY VERY VERY VERY picky eater. FOr breakfast i almost always have honey nut cherrios. only sometimes do i have pancakes, waffles, toast and things like that. for lunch sometimes i have macoroni, soup, spagedios, but for school EVERY DAY i have a bagal and yogurt, a snack and a gatorade. Not only does it get boring but i know its not healthy. For dinner i eat steak(spicy or normal, but i love spicy steak :P)chicken, macaroni, prok chops and things like that. For the smaller stuff i use to have green beans but i hate them now so i ALWAYS have corn. Things i like that i dont ussually eat are apples, bananas, and things like that. Any tips on how i could eat better?
A: Try to sneak in a bit more fruit. An apple or applesauce here, a few raisins there. Maybe some fruit on top of your waffles, or in your yogurt? Slice some banana into your cheerios?Taste a few new fruits, you might find new things you like. Good luck and congratulations for thinking about improving your diet.
