A: The sounds in your joints are probably “crepitus.” These sounds are usually benign and develop as our joints age or start to degenerate. (Even young, healthy people can develop crepitus, especially if they’ve been active or had injuries). If the sounds are accompanied by pain or “joint locking,” or they follow a trauma, then it’s time to see a doctor as this could be a more serious issue such as a “loose body” in the joint itself.There are no supplements that will stop the clicking sounds but Glucosamine Sulfate is a great supplement that helps to support the ligaments and joint tissues. It’s a little expensive but make sure to get a higher quality version with “MSM.” You might also try doing your exercise just to the point of hearing the sound and then repeat the exercise. Often crepitus occurs at our “end-range of motion.” So if we do a squat, for instance, and hear the sound when our knees and hips are fully flexed. A: The best supplement for joints out there is called cetyl M they make it in a pill form for dogs and a powder for horses. its spendy but it is worth the money, it really works wonders. I also use hoof flex once a day its a liquid that you put on and rub in and that works wonders. And you could give him some bute for a caouple days so that he starts using it with out pain that helps sometimes as well. good luck!
