A: bacteria are absorbers who secrete enzymes from themselves which then digests the material arounds them. this enzyme is many instances is what causes you to get sick instaed of the bacteria itself. anyway e coli lives in your intestinal tract and actually assits you in digesting your food with the enzymes they secrete (only if they get out of this area do they become deadly). nutrients(food particles or organic compounds) are taken into the cell via either active or passive means of transport.
