“If” Jesus did exist do you think he was a David Koresh, James Jones type? A guy with a messianic complex?
Q: Btw. David Koresh (Branch Davidians-Waco Texas) and James Jones (Jonestown) were needless to say cult leaders. We all know that walking on water, healing people from leprosy, etc. etc. never happened. What we don’t know for sure if there was a man named Jesus, or Josephier, or whatever actually did exist. If he did do you think he was a cult leader type of guy?
A: I think it is interesting how there are no prophets today, only ‘cult leaders’. It is also interesting how there were no cult leaders in biblical times, only ‘prophets’.Giz
Shaking hands with someone having leprosy?
Q: Isn’t leprosy a contagious disease? What happens if there’s this guy–let’s name him A–who has leprosy on his hand and goes around shaking hands with everyone. The best they could think of (when they’re not scientific) about the rough textures of A’s hand is that he’s got a skin disorder. Well, since the incubation period for leprosy is long (2-10 years), the next thing that the many people that A shook hands with would know is that they start to get skin lesions about 2-10 years later. Ew. Anyway, is this a question of morality or for the pure good of society that person A should do something in order to limit infections of others (and hence limit his freedom)? He couldA) go live somewhere isolatedB) wear glovesC) if the disease persists to other areas that might come into contact with others, cover it somehow…D) remain in the hospital for correct treatment and isolation to avoid infection of others.
A: Leprosy is not very contagious. 95% have a natural immunity to it. I would just treat the poor guy. Here is a link for facts about leprosy .http://rarediseases.about.com/cs/infectiousdisease/a/071203.htm
Help I want to kill my self?
Q: I try to be friendly but people treat me like i’m a plague I feel like I have leprosy around people, I suffer from an eating disorder. I usto cut my self just to make sure I was still human to make sure I could still feel some thing. I no longer feel emotions. I’m teased to no end at home when I say “please please stop it,” I get teased even more. I always have some one who hates me to no end for no reason once they move a way I have some one elts who hast to help make my life crappy. I have nocontrole with what happens in my life my mom is so over controling. rarelyly get a your cute or your hot it is always your ugly or behind my back “she’s sooo ugly” I feel like killing my self actuallyly want to kill my self however there are 2 people in my life who would go though who knows what if I killed my self and they are the reason I don’t. But what will happen if they die if they move away? would it be better to kill my self to get over this hell or should I cling to some dim hope that chances are wont happen?
A: Seriously, you should not post this on Yahoo you’ll get yelled at. Never listen to people they’re probably just jealous because you’re better at something that they aren’t. Don’t kill yourself it wont be worth it. Yes you’ll be relieved of stress and your problems, but if you do that… Imagine how your family would feel. They love you, they’re your family, if you did that to yourself they’d probably think it was their fault somehow. Cling to that hope, it may be dim, but it’s there. Try taking up a religion, it could make you feel better. Maybe talk to your parents (seriously) about your thoughts on this. They could help you, or maybe even get you a psychologist. Please don’t do it. You never know what you’ll be when you grow up: you could save the president for all we know. Ignore the sh*theads who make fun of you. They’re immature and insecure and have no lives so they pick on you. If they die, you’ll pull through. Focus on that shining star that represents hope and strive towards it. If they move away same thing. You can’t think that your life is horrible because the bas****s pick on you. Next time tell them to get a life and stop being an a$$. Hope. It may be your last resort, but it’s there no matter what.
