Cindy Anthony to Dr. Phil: “I Wanted to Go Choke or Hit” Casey when I Learned Caylee was Missing

Continuing their groundbreaking first interview since their daughter Casey was acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, more of George and Cindy Anthony’s talk with Dr. Phil McGraw played out on the “Today” show this morning (September 14).

Despite her seemingly endless number of excuses for Casey’s behavior in yesterday’s clip, the couple’s second aired sit-down made one thing perfectly clear – Cindy Anthony was furious with her daughter when she was first informed her that Caylee had been missing for 31 days.

Explaining the devastating blow, Cindy told, “My worst nightmare had just unfolded in front of me. I just screamed at [Casey], and I said, ‘What the hell are you talking about? What do you mean you haven’t seen Caylee?’”

Further revealing the details of that dark day, she continued, “I wanted to choke her or hit her and I just went over there and punched the bed as hard as I could to get my anger out.”

The highlight of George and Cindy’s interview with Dr. Phil didn’t come from the mouth of Caylee’s grandmother, however. It came from her grandfather George.

In the strongest accusation he has made against his daughter to date, an emotional George Anthony told Phil McGraw that he believes Casey Anthony used drugs to act as a babysitter for 2-year-old Caylee so that she could party with friends.

The reason for the alleged drugging was “to go out and have a good time, go out with friends… to have this life that she didn’t have with Caylee…some freedom that she wanted, that’s what I feel,” he said.

The 57-year-old father of Casey confessed, “Yeah I blame my daughter for Caylee not being here today,” adding, “I believe she was there and I also believe she probably had some help.”

Casey Anthony was acquitted of murder charges after her defense claimed that Caylee had accidentally drowned in the family swimming pool. Even more shocking, defense attorney Jose Baez actually pointed the finger at Casey’s father George, accusing him of initially finding the lifeless Caylee helping to cover up the accident.

Anger visibly mounted in George’s face as he responded to the defense’s claim.

“Inside of my heart, I don’t believe that Caylee drowned…I believe there’s something else that happened to her…I believe that Casey or someone else that she was with possibly gave too much [drugs] to Caylee…she fell asleep and didn’t wake up,” Anthony said.

Meanwhile George’s statements about his daughter’s role in Caylee’s murder shocked his wife, who responded by telling him, “This is the first time you ever said that to me… I’m really kind of shocked to hear that today.”

Though she’s been seen as a delusional supporter of Casey’s, Cindy Anthony offered up some surprising statements of her own while talking with Dr. Phil on Wednesday. One involved her admitting that she believed her daughter had something to do with the planting of the remains by their home.

“I know Casey knows where Caylee was placed. I know in my heart that now…I’m not sure if she put her there by herself or if someone helped her,” she said.

During the first part of their sit-down with Dr. Phil, which aired Monday (September 12), Cindy and George Anthony weren’t nearly as direct in their responses.

The grieving grandparents shared that they weren’t sure what caused the odor in Casey’s car that led investigators to finger her for Caylee’s murder.

Cindy began, “Truthfully to this day, I don’t know, to be honest.” George continued, “Do I want to believe Caylee was back there? I don’t want to believe it. I’m going by what the investigators have told me. All I know is that Caylee is not with us anymore. I know that. I know that.”

Additionally, Cindy dispelled any notion that George had information as to Caylee’s whereabouts. “George would have never have put us through those six months of not knowing where Caylee was if he knew where Caylee was. I watched his heart break every single day. And I watched him as frantic as he was.”
