Comedian Patrice O’Neal Dies at Age 41

For anyone who is a fan of Comedy Central stand up comedians, it’s been a rough couple of years. First, Greg Giraldo dies, now, Patrice O’Neal has died from a stroke. The comedian was only 41 years and had been diagnosed with diabetes. The last time that Patrice made an appearance was at Charlie Sheen’s Roast which aired back in September. His jokes were some of the best of the night, and he’d become a regular on the roasts because of his ability to lambaste guests. He has been performing stand up for many years and had slowly worked his way up the ladder.

For those unfamiliar with Patrice O’Neal, he was a regular guest on Opie and Anthony’s radio show. He also had some small roles in television and film. He made appearances on “Arrested Development,” “The Office,” and had a part in “Furry Vengeance.” He clearly died too soon, but he had been suffering from health problems. Other comedians aware of his poor health even used it to poke fun at O’Neal during the roast of Charlie Sheen. Sadly, his health was nothing to joke about. It’s too bad that he left this world too soon. We’ll miss you, Patrice.
