Did researching and writing this book teach you anything or influence your thinking in any way?

I definitely became more of a kid again!
As far as research goes, I read a lot of middle grade novels, hung out with my amazing little sister, pretended I had magical powers (I’m only semi-kidding about that one) and frolicked in the woods.
Oh, and I went to Germany and ate a lot of ice cream.

My imagination just won’t turn off. I’m constantly creating different worlds in my head (if you see me covered in bruises, it’s because I’m always walking into things when my mind is in a different world and my body is in this one!)
I also love reading and, from all of my experiences as a reader, understand what readers want out of a book.

If ‘Elsbett & Robin Take On A-Nasty-Sia’ takes off, then that. 
Otherwise, I’m proud of myself from graduating Cum Laude from Phillips Exeter Academy, becoming a Ron Brown Scholar, placing twice in the USA Biology Olympiad, and being accepted to all but one college that I applied to (including Ivy League Universities). I’m also proud of myself for doing my part to contribute to cancer research, even though I’m relatively young.
