With distribution in over 30,000 global retail venues, Burt’s Bees uses all natural ingredients, and adheres to strict environmentally friendly practices. Founded in 1984 by Roxanne Quimby and Burt Shavitz, the company first sold candles and bottled honey. After the immense success of these products, they moved on to manufacture edible spreads, furniture polish and personal care products. The latter secured their position in the global marketplace, as an “Earth Friendly, Natural Personal Care Company.”

With legions of loyal customers, Burt’s Bees is headquartered in Durham, North Carolina. Its management team consists of VP Nick Vlahos, CFO Douglas Haensal, and CEO John Replogle. The team also features Michael Indursky, who heads the marketing and public relations group. While Clorox purchased the company in late 2007, its brands and products remain a distinct a widely utilized entity.
