Cooking for two can be challenging, but the Bertolli Premium Meal Soup Roasted Chicken & Rotini Pasta is a fast and easy meal for two! The price was a bit steep, $8.88 at my local Walmart store, but my daughter had tried this soup and raved about it. I spent the money based on her recommendation, otherwise I would not have spent that much money for a meal that serves two people.
Bertolli Premium Meal Soup Roasted Chicken & Rotini Pasta comes in a 24 ounce bag and it consists of roasted white meat chicken, pasta, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots and celery that is served in a chicken broth. The front of the bag states it is “Stovetop prepared in minutes”. That was very appealing to me.
Preparation really is fast and easy. Stovetop directions tell you to mix the contents of the bag with one cup water, bring to a boil, then simmer covered for a mere five minutes. There are microwave directions as well, but this method of cooking can take as long as 20 minutes, depending on the wattage of your microwave.
Bertolli Premium Meal Soup Roasted Chicken & Rotini Pasta did not disappoint! It was filled with chicken, squash and al dente rotini pasta. The broth was savory and flavorful, and this soup was very satisfying, rivaling homemade.
Bertolli Premium Meal Soup Roasted Chicken & Rotini Pasta makes two servings, 340 grams each. It was enough to fill two soup bowls, but I served rosemary bread with the meal. I don’t feel the soup alone would be a complete meal, and certainly would not fill us up.
The bag states this soup is “Fresh Tasting Restaurant Quality”, and I completely agree with that statement. It is a great tasting soup, much more satisfying for me than a can of soup. I will most definitely be purchasing this soup again.
Other flavors are Chicken Minestrone, Tomato Florentine & Tortellini with Chicken, and Tuscan-Style Beef & Vegetables.
