Five Fun Fall Arts and Crafts Fairs Near Columbus, Ohio

Looking for some fun, family-friendly activities to enjoy during Fall 2011? The following five arts festivals in the Columbus, Ohio area offer a combination of shopping and entertainment for the young and young-at-heart.

Old Hilliard Art Fair
When: September 10, 2011, 10 am to 5 pm ;Live music begins September 9 at 7 pm
Where: City Park – Hilliard, OH
Cost: Free

Visitors can enjoy a car show, live music, and the wonderful professional artwork offered for sale. Youths and adults can enter their home-raised sunflowers in the Sunflower Contest. Youngsters can participate in the Kid’s Dash (100- and 200-yd dashes and a 1-mile run). A Friday Night Lights event will be offered for Teens.

The Country Living Fair, Columbus, OH
When: September 16, 17 and 18, 2011, 10 am to 5 pm
Where: Ohio Historic Village – Columbus, OH
Cost: Tickets are $16 at the door, $13 in advance. See website for more information.

The Country Living Fair offers a fun, festival-like destination. Over 200 vendors and artisans will be selling antiques, gifts, home d©cor, jewelry, and more. The events include seminars and demonstrations, as well as live music, gourmet markets, and other festivities.

Art & Craft Marketplatz at Columbus Oktoberfest
When: September 23, 24 and 25, 2011
Where: Ohio Expo Center/Ohio State Fairgrounds – Columbus, OH
Cost: Admission is free; parking $8.00

Bier Halls, entertainment and great food. Free Kinderplatz has bounce rides, crafts and entertainment. Arts and Crafts marketplatz offers unique handmade items by talented artisans. On Friday, the 3rd annual Vier Miler/Brat Trot will be held.

Riverfront Art Festival
When: September 30, October 1 and 2, 2011
Where: Genoa Park – Columbus, OH
Cost: Free

The Riverfront Art Festival features nearly 150 local and national artists, in every medium from fine oil paintings to affordable functional pottery, who will be on hand to explain their work and process. The entertainment schedule features two WaterFire burns, and incredible live music to enjoy while mingling with fellow art lovers along the Scioto River downtown.

Christmasfair
When: November 19 and 20, 2011 from 10 am to 5 pm
Where: Aladdin Shrine Center, 3850 Stelzer Road, Columbus, OH
Cost: Admission is $6, parking is free

ChristmasFair is a holiday market featuring 150 artists and crafters with unique, handcrafted items….pottery, folk art, paintings, stained glass, jewelry, photography and much, much more. And with Christmasfair celebrating its 25th year in 2011, it has become a Columbus tradition.
