These festive balloons are practically tradition at my house. They are very adorable, and I tell you these ghost balloons can give you a super scare just by accidentally running into the ghostly presence in the middle of a dark room. So I always make up a few during the annual Halloween decorating hustle and bustle. If they can scare me in the dark, then you know they are great for Halloween. Not that I like being startled in the night, but they are so much fun to make even my children find them stylish in a basic sort of way. Halloween decorating can be surprisingly easy and these ghostly balloons add just the right touch to any room.
What you will need:1 medium sized helium filled balloon 4 sheets of double thick white tissue paper Clear tape 1 black marker Yarn or string Spray glue adhesive Silver glitter Scissors
This balloon decoration is very easy to make and takes practically no time at all. First you start by placing the four squares of tissue paper in such a way to form a square, two on top and two on the bottom. Then you carefully overlap the edges and tape the pieces together with long strips of tape.
Next, you place the large sheet of paper with the tape side down right over the top of the balloon and make sure the middle most part is properly equal on all four sides. Then you gather the tissue paper around the balloon to snuggly hide all parts leaving no part of the balloon peaking through. Now be sure you have excess tissue paper hanging down naturally in a ghostly shape.
Lastly, all you have to do is mark in the eyes and a mouth. I like to take a pair of scissors and cut small cuts making a torn fringy look. You can also take a pair of scissors and cut small cuts making a torn fringy look, this makes the ghost look raggedy and worn out from all that booing around. Then spray glue adhesive over the ghost and sprinkle on silver glitter.
And voila, your ghost is finished. And now you are one step closer to finishing up all that Halloween decorating to make your house spectacular.
