Harry Potter – the Series that Enchanted the World

There are numerous films of 2011 that I’ve watched and thoroughly enjoyed, but the movie that is my favorite? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Harry Potter is a seven-book series by now world-renowned author J.K. Rowling, and the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, became a New York Times bestseller and won numerous awards. I love reading any of the Harry Potter books and watching any of the Harry Potter movies. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is the final movie of the series and it contains the final battle between Harry Potter and Lord Voldermort. I’ve grown up with these characters all of my life, so when a character dies, it’s like I’ve lost a best friend. Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe, teams up with his two best friends, Hermione Granger, played by Emma Watson, and Ronald Weasley, played by Rupert Grint, and as friendships are tried, the overall experience kept me at the edge of my seat at the movie theater. Harry Potter eventually sneaks back into Hogwarts, reunites with his friends including Neville Longbottom and love interest Ginny Weasley before setting off to find the last Horcrux before Lord Voldemort and the rest of his Death eaters burst through the school. There’s so much depth and character development that the movies were successfully able to recreate. The imagery was beautiful and it’s sad to say good-bye to characters and movies that I’ve read about for years. It’s a worldwide phenomenon, and I’m going to be rereading and re watching this series for a very long time. And I’ll still be waiting for an owl containing my acceptance letter to Hogwarts.
