Harvest Pride Hamburger Buns at Walgreens

A couple of days ago, I purchased two 14 ounce packages of Harvest Pride Hamburger Buns at a West Hartford, Connecticut Walgreens Pharmacy. For more than a year, I’ve been purchasing and eating this brand of hamburger rolls and I think they would be a good product to review.

Presented here, as a service to the consumer at large, is an article which reviews and examines Harvest Pride Hamburger Buns.

Size
The net weight of the standard sized package of Harvest Pride Hamburger Buns is 14 ounces. The package holds eight buns and according to the product’s nutrition facts label, one bun counts as one serving.

In physical size, these hamburger buns are the same size as most other hamburger buns..

Price
The regular retail price charged for one 14 ounce package of Harvest Pride Hamburger Buns at West Hartford, Connecticut area Walgreens Pharmacies is approximately $1.49. This price seems extremely reasonable to me.

The regular retail price of similar sized packages of name brand hamburger and hot dog buns is usually a good deal higher than the price of these buns. Sometimes, these buns are on sale for $0.99c – $1.29.

Texture / Consistency
These hamburger buns are usually pillowy-soft, yet they are strong enough to stand up to peanut butter being spread upon them without tearing. To be honest, I’ve become quite fond of these hamburger rolls and their appealing texture is one of the things I like most about the buns.

The overall mouth feel offered by these buns is very pleasing.

Nutritional Facts
Harvest Pride Hamburger Buns contain 120 calories, with 5 calories from fat, per one bun (49.6 grams) serving. These delicious hamburger buns also contain 0 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams trans fat, 0.5 grams total fat, 0 mg of cholesterol, 210 mg of sodium, 22 grams total carbohydrates, 1 gram of dietary fiber, 3 grams of sugars and 4 grams of protein, per one bun serving.

Taste / Flavor
While these buns may look like many other brands’ buns, in my opinion, they taste better than most other brands of rolls that I’ve tried. To my tastebuds, these rolls taste slightly sweet and as if they’re made from high quality ingredients.

Harvest Pride Hamburger Buns are made with enriched wheat flour and they taste good enough for me to eat them plain. These are some of the best-tasting hamburger buns I have eaten. On a flavor scale of one through ten, I would assign these rolls a rating of 9.85.

Packaging
Harvest Pride Hamburger Buns are packaged in a clear plastic bread bag that features a pastel yellow and red label. The name ‘Harvest Pride’ is in black and white lettering on the bottom half of the front label, below a line sketch of a village. The rear label lists all relevant ingredient and nutritional information.

Overall Rating
All things considered, Harvest Pride Hamburger Buns are exceptionally tasty, reasonably priced hamburgers buns that are just as good as, if not better than many name brand buns. Available at many Walgreens Pharmacies, these buns are highly recommended.
