It is a sad and stressful time for the family of 82-year-old Margaret Scholl of Polo.
She is missing, and at this report, there has been no word of her whereabouts.
Scholl was in Freeport staying with her daughter, Barbara Mellinger, when she left her premises Sunday and hasn’t been seen since.
Another sad note on this story is that Margaret’s husband, Arnold, also 82, died last Thursday. Now, Margaret suffers dementia, and, at this time, it isn’t known if the death of her husband perhaps was a trigger
event. If so, this surely adds urgency to this story and the family and officials are asking for help.
She is:
5 feet 1 inch tall
Around 115
pounds
Officials note she was last seen wearing a T-shirt (green) which has a gold design on it. And tan pants which are the Capri variety. If not familair with that, think Mary Tyler Moore and “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” Those are the style of pants. Also, the family has noted that she likes to carry a black
purse.
Call the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Department if you have any
information. Call 815-235-8252, hit 7 when asked. Of course, 911 or family,
friends and authorities in Polo are seeking information as well.
* Note: On Sunday she left the Willow Lake subdivision, near Freeport, in Stephenson
County, while Polo is in Ogle County, Illinois.
