An all-star line up will hit the stage for Broadway Rocks Anaheim 2011, featuring Shirley Jones, Lea Thompson, David Burnham, Patrick Cassidy and American Idol alum Ace Young, plus many more.
The single performance will be held on Nov. 5 at the Heritage Forum, and will be directed by Calvin Remsberg. Proceeds from the annual event will go to build a world-class performing arts center in the northern part of Orange County, according to information on the Anaheim Performing Arts Center Foundation web site.
Ace Young just completed a single performance of New York’s Finest: The Leading Men of Broadway, which played to a sold-out crowd on Sept. 16. The show was so successful that producers are looking to do a repeat engagement in the future.
“I can’t wait to party in Anaheim,” Young said. “It’s been too long!”
This is the second annual show to benefit the construction fund for the non-profit performing arts complex, which already has the support of the City Council of Anaheim. Once completed, it will house the Anaheim Ballet and the Orange County Symphony, as well as offices for the Anaheim Performing Arts Center Foundation.
The legendary actress/singer Shirley Jones will highlight the event, which also will include performances by Will Collver, Julie Garnye, David Hernandez, Alex Robert Holmes, Damon Kirsche, Derek Klena, Matthew Koehler, Daniel, LeClaire, Vicki Lewis, Ian Littleworth, Alli Mauzey, Melissa Mitchell, Valarie Perri, Valarie Pettiford, Kelli Provart, Joan Ryan, Jennifer Shleton, James Snyder and Matt Zarley.
