Snooki Speaks on Being a Victim of Bullying

Getting a glimpse of her life beyond the spray tan and and leopard print, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi opens up about everything from bullying to her brand in the new issue of Parade magazine.

Dishing about the ups and downs of adolescence, the “Jersey Shore” starlet admits to being put down by peers before shooting to reality show fame, telling, “I got bullied in high school. A lot of girls were so mean to me because their boyfriends wanted to hang out with me and my girls, so they pretty much bullied me to the point where I was crying at night. Now, if somebody says something negative to me, I’m just like, ‘Whatever.’ I laugh it off. Nobody can get to me at this point.”

As for whether she had dreams of television success before her MTV hit, Snooki told, “I didn’t know I was going to be on a reality show, but I always wanted to be an actress. The fact that it came like this is awesome.”

Despite her love of being in the public eye, Nicole says there are some drawbacks, insisting others have a somewhat distorted vision of her. “[People think] I’m an alcoholic and I drink and all I want to do is hook up. That’s totally not the case. You have to remember that reality shows capture your worst moments.”

Hoping to take her star status to another level, Miss Polizzi says she has billionaire aspirations, as she told, “10 years from now, I would like to see myself successful as a brand, like Jessica Simpson, with babies running around and a beautiful husband and my own reality show.”

“I’ve got my slippers coming out and I’m working on a nail polish that might be out for the holidays. I’m working on my spin-off with Jenni, I’m working on my sequel to A Shore Thing, and I’ve got the clothing line, perfume, eyelashes – you name it, I’m trying to do it!,” she added.

On top of her Parade feature, Snooki also did an interview with GQ this month. Not surprisingly, the pint-sized reality star didn’t hold back, sharing her opinions on everything from Presidential candidates to her favorite guilty pleasures.

The following are some snippets from that interview:

On who she’d pick as a GOP candidate:
“Donald Trump, I would vote for him. Trump would make this country better I feel. He gets sh*t done.”

On what she’d be doing differently if not producing Jersey Shore:
“I wouldn’t show as much drinking and partying. I would show more of us chilling out and having a good time-which they don’t show. We don’t even drink those nights, but we laugh all night. They don’t show anything but us drinking and hooking up.”

On what she spends her money on:
“I save it. Jersey Shore is going to end soon. I’m not going to spend money like Mike [The Situation]. He’s already broke!”

On her guilty pleasure:
“The show, Mob Wives… They’re crazier than we are and they’re in the mob. I think they’re nut jobs.”

On whether there’s anything people don’t know about her:
“I don’t think so. I just know that I’m going to be 98 pounds again and everyone can suck it.”
