When from upon this earth I am gone
May the spirit singers sing my spirit song
Sing me home on a warriors chorus
A black and white paint my spirit horse
Sing it loud so my elders will know
Their son is home from down below
They’ll know it’s me as I ride the path
On the big black stud with a painted white patch
As spirit singers sing may ghost dancers dance
Bringing me home to my peace at last
So sing it loud and dance it hard
As my spirit horse carries me yard by yard
Carry me home so others may see
My elders, my brothers and sisters with me
This path I must take I’ll not be alone
My spirit horse will carry me home
My father’s await me high in the sky
With wings of an eagle to them I will fly
My final journey will not be alone
As my spirit horse now carries me home
