Thanksgiving – 5 Celebrities Who Will Be Thankful This Year

Families gather every November to eat turkey and share what they truly are grateful for this year. As you tell your families how much you appreciate them and everything they do for you, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars will be doing the same. A handful of celebrities have a little more to be thankful for than others.

Scotty McCreery was just a Southern teen when he tried out for American Idol in Milwaukee. Throughout the season America watched this wholesome boy grow up, ultimately winning the title. If anyone on reality TV has something to be thankful for, it’s this American Idol winner. Not only did he perform to thousands every night this summer, but he’s been named as the opening act for Brad Paisley’s upcoming tour to promote his debut album, “Clear as Day.” Despite his success, American Idol reports that the winner plans to finish his senior year of high school and live “as normal” of a life as possible.

Spice Girl-turned-fashionista Victoria Beckham is another star who will be saying thanks during this holiday season. Though she has three healthy boys (Cruz, Romeo and Brooklyn) and loving husband David Beckham, in July she became a mom again. This time to baby girl, Harper Seven. The world is already envious of the baby’s clothes as she globe trots in dresses worth hundreds of dollars.

Though Will Arnett is just becoming a household name, this comedian has had one of his best years to date. “Up All Night” was one of the few sitcoms to make it to NBC’s permanent line-up and the ratings are so high they are moving it to the Thursday night comedy blocks. Over the years Arnett has guest starred on such successful shows as Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock, but he’s seen his share of disappointments like Fox’s Running Wilde. Not only is “Up All Night” one of the best new comedies, but his cult classic show Arrested Development is also returning in 2013.

Everyone knows the band Oasis, and despite a string of hits over the years, the Britpop band disbanded in 2009. Both Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, returned this year with solo projects and it seems that Noel Gallagher should be most thankful. His solo project, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, is already an international success with publications like NME and Spin magazine buzzing. Expect to see him throughout the end of the year and 2012 popping around the globe in support of the album. Let’s just say Liam’s project, Beady Eye, is a minimal success in comparison.

Finally, Rob Kardashian should be saying thanks this Thanksgiving after a successful run on Dancing With the Stars. Throughout the season we have watched Rob grow from an immature boy to a man, finding passion for something in his life- finally. And though he may not have been “lovable” to begin with, his sisters have done a great job showing that he may be the most sane one in the family.
