The Final Installment of the ‘Twilight’ Saga: Bands That Should Be Included on the ‘Breaking Dawn: Part 2′ Soundtrack

Fans everywhere are patiently awaiting the final installment of the massively popular “Twilight” series, “Breaking Dawn: Part 2.” While most fans are most anticipating the final film, I am most looking forward to the film’s soundtrack. Some killer soundtracks have been produced for the “Twilight” saga movies, and the final chapter in the franchise is sure to follow along the same path. Here is a look at some of the musical acts that should be included on the “Breaking Dawn: Part 2″ soundtrack.

Muse

Muse has been featured in three of the four “Twilight” saga soundtracks, and is known to be one of Stephenie Meyer’s favorite bands. Their sound works well as background music, and has an atmospheric vibe to it. Muse was absent from the “Breaking Dawn: Part 1″ soundtrack, and it just didn’t feel right. Here’s hoping that Muse will return for the fifth and final installment.

Florence and the Machine

Florence and the Machine has only been included in one “Twilight” saga soundtrack, but her output was nothing short of stunning. Florence and the Machine contributed “Heavy in Your Arms” which was played during the end credits of the “Eclipse” movie, and the song blew me away. Florence and the Machine’s voice is not only stunning, but strong, and her poetic lyrics bring her performance to another level. With the content that is expected to be included in “Breaking Dawn: Part 2,” Florence Welch’s voice would fit in beautifully.

Blue October

Another band that is dear to “Twilight” creator Stephenie Meyer’s heart is Blue October. Blue October has a unique sound, and would fit well on the final “Twilight” saga soundtrack. They have an offbeat quality to their sound, and would fit well into the quirky “Twilight” mold.

Lykke Li

A singer who greatly improved a scene in “New Moon” thanks to her music is Lykke Li. The Swedish singer is responsible for the song “Possibility” that was featured in “New Moon.” During the scene where Bella is wasting away the months in her room, looking out the window while sad, depressed and missing Edward, “Possibility” is playing. The song has a true pulse, and greatly improved the scene in the movie. Lykke Li has a broad range and should definitely be included on the “Breaking
Dawn: Part 2″ soundtrack.
