I received in my spam mail an “offer” for 1 Weird Spice That Cures Diabetes. This advertisement goes on to say that Type 1 diabetes can be stopped. Type 1 is insulin dependent because the pancreas is not functioning, at all. It cannot be stopped. Please do not fall for this. My husband had Type 1 diabetes and was insulin dependent. He went to more than one doctor so it was not a case of one doctor not knowing. If you have diabetes Type 1 (also called Juvenile Diabetes, although this is a misnomer) please do not fall for this.
Yes Type 2 can be controlled with diet, but not Type 1. Make sure you ask your doctor about anything that you are going to try. He will let you know about it. If you want, ask for a second opinion.
