Halloween is a time for tricks and treats,
A time to carve pumpkins and hide your face,
A time to dress up fun and unique
In sexy outfits or bloody and pointy teeth,
Piercing like daggers of sharp razor blades
In kids’ mouths while using their time for tricks and treats.
The youngest of the children are first to walk the streets
with vibrant glowing fire of glee that never strays
Upon ringing a doorbell with no answer and defeat
Of receiving something sugary sweet,
Perhaps chocolate, caramel, or fruity arrays
Of a basket full of the ladder of tricks and treats
It is always fun this time of year to seek
With caution, of course, the rules should be obeyed.
Upon ringing a doorbell with no answer and defeat,
Stroll casually on up the street,
To the next house with a scarecrow on display.
Halloween is a time for tricks and treats,
A time to dress up fun and unique.
