When using a computer you need Keyboard shortcuts so your work is easier. Also, Keyboard shortcuts are great for playing your favorite game with your computer. Besides the standards Windows shortcuts that you already now (like the Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste) now you can use a plethora of new shortcuts on the new Windows 7 system. You already know your Window key. Right? Is the on located on the lower left part of your keyboard. Let’s see some Windows 7 Keyboard Shortcuts that you can use with your window key

If you press Windows Key – Opens the Start Menu

If you press Windows Key + D – Displays the desktop

If you press Windows Key + M – Minimizes all open windows

If you press Windows Key + Spacebar – All windows become transparent so that the desktop is visible while pressing and holding this keyboard shortcut

If you press Windows Key + Down Arrow – Reduces a maximized window and minimizes a smaller sized window

If you press Windows Key + Up Arrow – Maximizes a smaller window to full screen

If you press Windows Key + Tab – Cycles through open windows

If you press Windows Key + = – Opens the Magnifier

If you press Windows Key + L – Locks your computer

If you press Windows Key + G – Cycles through your gadgets

If you press Windows Key + P – Opens Presentation View, which allows you to switch to another monitor or projector.

So these are some of the Windows 7 keyboard shortcuts you can use immediately. There are others that are very specific to the taskbar.

For example if you press the Windows Key + Number (1 – 9) it will bring up the current window of the corresponding application pinned to the taskbar. So, if if you have Internet Explorer, Outlook and Word pinned to the taskbar at the right of the Start button, Windows Key + 1 will open IE, Windows Key + 2 will open Outlook and so on.

Shift + Windows Key + Number (1 – 9) – Opens a new instance of the corresponding application pinned to the taskbar.

Windows Key + T – Brings up a view of each taskbar application currently in use, in order from left to right.

Windows Key + Shift + T – Previews the taskbar items from right to left.
