Can we be a voice for the world
With a message all can hear
In a time when any trace of light
Lie pinned in the shadow of fear
In a world where fists overpower the mind
We must ponder the wisdom we left behind
We owe our debt to indifference
As much as we do to greed
When there are those who refuse to share
Their blood with those who bleed
This world can’t be changed with control
Evil will stand in defiance
When wars never bring lasting hope
We must strengthen our peaceful alliance
I learned to love myself in my darkest hour
The choice to share the wealth
Became my greatest power
In turn the ones I helped can do their part
It started with a change of heart
