You Might Have a Cyber Stalker If

I realize some of these “warning signs” could be just an over zealous family member, or friend. You will need to decide if that is the case or not. It’s the combination of all of these that you truly know you have a cyber stalker. I personally have several myself, and it’s from them, and their actions since 1999 I wrote this article.

You might have a cyber stalker if the person in your life has obsessive contact, even when they are being ignored or blocked. If their emails are blocked and their email bounces back, that should be a big enough hint that it’s past time to move on. If they haven’t then you should be worried. I have one that every time I block her email, she gets another email address. The same applies with messengers, if you block them and they get another username just to message you. One of mine has over 40 AIM and Yahoo names and gets more daily. Yes you can set your messengers to exclusive but why let them control and imitate you.

You might have a cyber stalker if when you change your email address they find it and email there just to get you upset and or a reply.

You might have a cyber stalker if you are followed around by them joining everything you join. Let’s say you created a free webpage at Geocities, and all of a sudden they created one a Geocities. Now that could just be wild timing, but if they post a message right after you post in a forum, and their message isn’t on topic or not nice that’s a warning sign.

You might have a cyber stalker if their web page is all about you.

You might have a cyber stalker if your friends and family members are being added or emailed by the person when they never spoke to your family or friends.

You might have a cyber stalker if they are actually advertising they are stalking you.

You might have a cyber stalker if they are going around posting lies about you everywhere you go.

You might have a cyber stalker if they are sending you e-cards simply to avoid the email blocks you have set up.

You might have a cyber stalker if the person has invented a love affair with you.

You might have a cyber stalker if the person sends you invites to anything and everything they belong to, even if you already belong to them.

You might have a cyber stalker if just when you think the person has moved on, out of the blue they email you yet again, message you on messengers, send you e-cards, or post messages again right after you did on a forum. I thought one of my stalkers was gone but when I least expect it at least every six months or so, she either emails me or joins my group simply to remind me she’s still around, still cares, and is still very much so in love.

You might have a cyber stalker if the person copies loads of aspects of your website, as though they have no original thought in their head. This is simply downright tacky. Yes some people could consider it flattery, but I personally consider it lack of intelligence. If someone has to copy your website, instead of coming up with their own idea then that’s just sad. The web is vast; there are a lot of other templates out there.

You might have a cyber stalker if they are going around posting pictures of you without your permission.

You might have a cyber stalker if the person can’t stop thinking, and talking about you.

You might have a cyber stalker if the person’s goal in life is to ruin your life.
