A: Well if walking is causing your muscles to burn it’s likely that’s giving them a good workout right there. Stick with the walking as much as you can and make sure you’re getting plenty of rest, protein and water. Once you’re tolerating the walking a little better, you can try doing knee bends, lunges and straight-leg bends. Once all that goes well, you can add weights to those exercises and incorporate leg curls as well.Biking or stair-climbing will help too, as will any other cardio-type equipment like elipitcal trainers, treadmills etc.I’m a little surprised your physiotherapist didn’t give you some specific exercises as well – maybe contact him/her for some advise more specific to your situation.
Getting a good workout without use of the butt muscles?
Q: Sorry, I have no idea what those are called. I did one too many lunges and now they are sore as heck. That was two days ago, and it still hurts to walk around, but I feel in need of a good sweat out. Any ideas on how I can get a good workout without using those butt muscles?
A: 2 days ago? Just sore muscles? Best is active rest lightly working muscle.Regular routine. just easier this time on lunges. and work in some squats starting moderately and minding form.Try squats w/ nose and toes close close to a wall?!back to workout! active rest moving is good.
