How do i warm up my house?
Q: i can’t affod to turn on the heat, not even for one day. I need to paint but have been told that it’s a very bad idea to do it in the cold. how do i warm it up without spending any money?
A: Find one of those sturdy 55 gallon drums and find a lot of trash and other flammable material insert it into the drum and add lighter fluid and stand back while you light, that should heat up the house well. Also please note this may or may not be a fire hazard especially while painting. But on the other hand its free!! XDYou can also find a space heater and an extremely long extension cord, run it to a neighbor’s outdoor outlet and VIOLA! free heat!
At what age do you start offering formula babies extra cooled boiled water, like on hot days?
Q: I have a little girl who is six weeks today and its actually the first really warm day weve had since she was born.If she seems thirsty between feeds in hot weather can i give her some water or just offer more milk?at what age can you do this and how much do you offer? My eldest daughter was breastfed and it was cooler when she was born so im not sure about this, any advice would be great.
A: It depends on where you live, the conditions of where you live, and the consistency of their poop.Peanutbutter consistency is ideal. Harder is not. And there are some climates where the doctors will tell you to give them a little bit of water if they’ve finished feeding but their poops are still hard. Not much, like 1/2 an ounce or 1/4 oz at a time. And you offer them formula first to see if they’re hungry first. It’s only after a feeding, and only if their poops are hard, they’re constipated in other words, and you talk it over with their pediatrician. Where I live, the air is very dry and I was told at 3 days to give her water if her poops become hard. Where my SIL lives it’s pretty humid and they told her no water until the baby was 6 months. My daughter didn’t need water though since it was winter and then spring, and summer didn’t hit until she was older than 6 months anyway. Her poops were the guide for me.
why my car lasts a lot to warm up the engine and in highway speed temperature drops?
Q: i have a Civic 1997, since i changed a non working radiator with a new one (i dont know how it works, they just told that they put one that works faster) the temperature drops in highways and never goes to the middle again until i stop. I asked if it was the thermostat but he said that its because the new radiator that has more capacity.. what do you think guys?.. Note: In the city and standing still it works fine.
A: sounds like the thermostat, a bigger radiator does cool better but the thermostat should still cut off coolant flow so it will get to operating temperature regardless of how big the radiator is, if it is the electric fan switch than highway use would not matter because the air is already flowing accross the radiator. thermostats are cheap and easy to replace, i would just try one. another alternative is just to place something accross a portion of the radiator, large trucks usually do this in very cold weather, just make sure it doesnt overheat if you cover too much of it.
